There are nine golf courses on Tenerife, most of them only a short distance from the villa. My favourite is Adeje where they hosted the Spanish Open in 2003, it is a 15 minute cab ride. Las Americas is a very pretty course too and only 5 minutes away.
Each course has its own unique style and features, and most have exceptional views. In the North of the island you will find the picturesque Buenavista Golf Club, the par 3 La Rosaleda and the second oldest golf club in Spain, Real Club de Golf.
In the South are Golf Del Sur which also hosted the Spanish Open, Amarilla Golf with it’s unique black volcanic sand bunkers and Las Américas, all three are close to the villa and airport. Further west there is the scenic Golf Costa Adeje, the Golf & Spa Resort of Abama as well as the nine hole practicing course of Los Palos.
If you fancy an adventure, try La Tecina on La Gomera, a fantastic course set in the mountains, green fees include your ferry crossing and a taxi from the port to the golf course when you arrive. They hosted a Challenge Tour event their earlier this year, a great course.
